Grand Haven ArtWalk is an annual collaboration of artists, local businesses and members of the lakeshore community in a collective celebration of art. Artists from the local area and beyond participate in an art competition in the following categories: drawing, painting, photography, sculpture(3D) and mixed media. ArtWalk takes place Sept. 28 – Oct. 8.
Along with daily public judging and juried voting, ArtWalk boasts special events that highlight the artists, venues and friends of ArtWalk. There is a special hands-on art day for kids of all ages, free food and live music; 4th grade field trip to experience performance art; a youth competition for artists ranging in age from zero to 8, all the way to 18 years old; a musical concert in the street; and a host of special events at the Loutit District Library.
