Wednesday, 9/18 Opening Day!
Voting begins at noon for both adult and youth competitions!
ArtWalk Kickoff, noon – 2 pm: Celebrate the start of ArtWalk 2013 with Picnic and Painting at Waterfront Stadium. Join us at the Waterfront area for a fantastic feast of free food. And add your artistic touch to a collaborative art piece started by Mayor McCaleb, City Council and other city representatives! ~Sponsored by The Holiday Inn and Jack's Restaurant
Opening Night Gala, 6 – 10pm: A private opening celebration at Baker Lumber for artists, venues and sponsors. Live music. Fabulous food. Delectable drinks. By invite only.

Family Art Day, noon – 3 pm:
Family Art Day, noon – 3 pm: Join us at the Waterfront Stadium for a fun family day featuring the new Art Bike Parade event, canvas painting, live entertainment, free food and tons of family fun. This event features interactive painting for children with participating ArtWalk artists. Children’s works will be displayed for the community at Waterfront Stadium. A parade of artistically modified bicycles will also occur through downtown. The public is encouraged to join this parade with their decorated bikes. Lunch will be provided.
10 am: Art Bike Parade, Painting activities for children will take place after bike parade has been completed.

Centertown Block Party, 6 – 8 pm: Come on down to Centertown. Pig out on pig roast compliments of Anthony’s Kicked up Catering. Chill out with a bowl of JW’s famous white chili while listening to live music by Barefoot Sunday. Area artists will also be there demonstrating their various techniques.

Friday and Saturday, 9/27 and 9/28
Indie Rock Music Festival, 6 pm – midnight: Two days. Ten bands. Tons of excitement. The first block of Washington Ave. will be packed with people clamoring to hear these amazing indie groups. Free to all ages. Beer and wine tent. ID required..

Grand Wavin’ Voting & Art Market, noon – 5 pm: All sizes of Grand Wavin’ decorated lighthouses will be lined along Washington Ave. for an all day voting event. Bring your painted lighthouse if you wish to participate.The Art Market is located on Washington St., just off Harbor Dr. and allows attendees to purchase pieces created by ArtWalk artists, while enjoying the plethora of retail goods available at downtown Grand Haven businesses. These events begin at noon. There will be live music, free food demos and samples. Grand Wavin' Awards ceremony at 5 pm.
Youth competition awards and reception, 6p.m.: Voting for the youth competition takes place at Loutit District Library ends at noon on October 1. Winners will be announced at this event which will also take place at Loutit District Library. Announcement of ArtWalk 2013 Winners, 5:30 – 6:30 pm:
Come to the Fire Barn Gallery to find out who will take home the first and second place prizes in all four categories.
Closing Reception, 7 – 10 pm:
The Tri Cities Historical Museum (200 Washington Ave.) will host a private reception for artists, venues, sponsors and volunteers. By invitation only.
